I figured it was time to do this again, being that it's summer and all. Post here if you'd like to play in the tournament. Depending on the numbers I may split everyone up into subgroups and have winners advance (World Cup Style). We'll see. :D

Playing a tourny using Europe in Conflict would be great. And 8 people would give us enough to have 3 rounds to decide a victor instead of playing every single person. Just an idea to throw into the pot.

I'm toying with the idea of a Europe in Conflict tournament. What do you guys think? It's an awesome (free) mod and I love how it changes the game.
I'm down for using EiC. We have at least 7 others that have mentioned that they either have NTW (in which case they can d/l EiC) or already have EiC installed.
Alright, it's decided. We'll be using the Europe in Conflict mod. If you don't have it downloaded yet, do so. Try and get a few rounds in with someone because it is a very different game than vanilla. As for the contestants,

Wonderful, normally no one plays EiC, and now that there is a tournament for it, I happen to be going on a 4 week Euro vacation..... Well good luck with the tourney, hopefully there will be another later on in August or something.
Just bought the game today with all the DLC for 10.19 part of the deals they have on steam so I can't wait to start playing as soon as it downloads

Sorry I'm so late getting this out. I've been a bit busy. But the wait is over! I wrote down the names of all participants and numbered them 1-12. I then rolled a 12 sided dice to assign players to three groups of 4 players. (Sven, if you are in fact participating I'll just plug you into my group and we'll be a group of 5). Now, each person in the group will play each other once. That means each person will play a total of three games in this first round. For every victory, you will recieve 3 points. For every tie (if any) you each will recieve 1 point and no points will be awarded for a loss. At the end of the first round, the top two players of each group will advance and we will begin an elimination playoff from there (Ties will be decided by the head to head match). I can explain that at a later time. As for now, get your three games done in the next few weeks. I am thinking that the first round will end two weeks from now, July 26. If all games are played sooner then we will continue early. Any unplayed games at the end of the first round will go down as a tie and each player will recieve a point.

Weap and I were trying to do a practice game but were getting wrong version errors. We double checked our mod check list with the most recent version installed, and both of our games are ran through Steam and auto updated so we were on the same NTW version. I hope this isn't a continued problem in the tourney. I had no issues connecting to Josh and Haresus, so this was kind of odd.

As far as rules go, we'll keep it similar to last time. The two players should agree on a map. No more than two artillery pieces (No Mortars, Unicorns, Siege guns, or Howitzers). Cavalry is left up to the player, but no more than 50% I'd say. Let's put funding at Medium and time limit at Infinite.

In my opinion Mortars and Siege Guns should be allowed. If you want to know why, ask Weapon how well his 4 mortar batteries fared against my 1 battery of 6 pounders :P As for Siege Guns, is there actually something overpowered about them? From what I know they're conventional artillery with very slow load times and long range. Well good luck with the tourney, any chance we could get another one going sometime after the 5th of August?

I can't get the EIC mod working so I can't for now.
There are too many "compatability" issues with this mod I think. After an hour of troubleshooting, I still couldn't connect to Oneah with the "Incompatible version" issues. Same thing with Weapon. And I guess Azrooh and Weapon couldn't connect as well.
Ah damn. Well then we may have to do this Vanilla.
Now... Any idea how to downgrade down to vanilla? :P
You can uninstall EiC, and on EiC's forums there are links to vanilla files to replace the edited ones.
if its Steam cant you just validate your installation and download the vanilla files again?
Are you guys not managing your mods? That may be the problem. Go to the mod manager and you can turn on/off which mods are active and which aren't.

Yeah that was part of the troubleshooting process. Trying the exact same ones in the exact same order. Trying all of them off. Trying all of the EiC on. Nothing worked.
