Well, to my great shame my ping was pretty decent there... ::) Ofcourse I always get my stupid lag streaks randomly, no matter what ping I have.
I guess it's not only the ping. It's also the server itself.
Maybe, but most of the shit that happens to me in lag way is my own internets fault. Oh well, eventually we will get a new internet.

Lol I couldn't stop laughing yesterday because the lag was so bad. I saw men beating horses running parallel. I would shoot about 3 bullets without reloading, and I was killing people 20 feet away from me with my bayonet.
I once shot 8 times with my musket without reloading... But the melee was pretty good. I had pretty good control of what was happening and managed to kill 2 of em.
My favorite part was watching the cavalry doing the "Swim Charge". I almost fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard. And I also got a melee kill (so what if it was a musician? ;D).

The Old Guards last charge in the Waterloo reenactment on last Sunday, through the eyes of our enemies. We did a beautiful flanking maneuver and charge, no highlander survived. (Our involvement starts at about 3m53s)

I had just gotten shot by a random bullet from across the map, and turned around in spectator just fast enough to get a screenshot before the cavalry smashed into the line. The charging cavalry is why those people are aiming :P
I think Az was spooked and faked death to avoid the cavalry charge.

Friday Linebattle 7/29/2016 Map 1, Round 2
Here's a screenshot (http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/264972387356488730/D136FD40056BAA0F7003936D2380B2107EE0F939/) taken by Eternal of the 19te depicting the French column during the Ambush Event. You can spot the 1stEPI operating the artillery at the rear. Part of the French objective was to escort two artillery pieces to a secure fort as a sort of reenactment of a supply line for Napoleon's invasion of Russia. I believe one of our horses would later be sniped by Russian partizanis. If anyone is interested in these type of events, the next one will be taking place on October 1st at 5pm EST.

It was a good training overall, a few mishaps here and there but otherwise it flowed well and was fun.
I commend the officers for finding a game with system of movement more complex than mount and blade. A challenge to overcome!

I had a great time at the anniversary celebration and good to seeing everyone!
