We return to the year 1944. Operation Bagration was blunted on the streets and fields of Staszow, and while Germany is not yet ready for any major offensives in the East, the Soviet's momentum is temporarily slowed. Even so, sensing defeat, Soviet leadership stages a daring assault on the Island of Ösel, off the Estonian coast. Their invasion succeeds and they immediately begin fortifying the island and constructing air bases. Should these air bases become fully operational, Soviet aircraft will be able to dominate the Baltic Sea and strike deep into the heart of Germany.

Therefore, it is of the utmost importance to retake the Island of Ösel. In the early hours of [REDACTED], elements of the 2. Fallschirmjäger-Division will be dropping onto the southern peninsula in the first paradrop since Crete. After securing the southern peninsula, German troops of the 1. Infanterie-Division will be ferried over from mainland Estonia to relieve the Fallschirmjäger. Support will be limited and the Russians are dug in deep, but who dares, wins.
